Postdocs

Postdoc applicants should be nearing completion or already hold a PhD in neuroscience, biology, engineering, computer science, psychology or other related fields. Coding, quantitative and/or experimental skills are desirable, but the applicant will have an opportunity to be trained in these techniques. Please send a CV, a one-page statement of research interests and skills, and contact information for three references.

Graduate students

Graduate students must be already enrolled at Northwestern. We primarily recruit PhD students through our interdepartmental neuroscience program. Applications are centralized and usually due on December 1st. Please check the website for details. If you are already a student and are interested in rotating in the lab please contact Lucas directly to set up an appointment.

Research technicians

We are hiring a research technician to assist in multiple ongoing projects in the lab. Responsibilities include but are not limited to behavioral training in our high-throughput virtual reality facility, histology, in vivo experiments, and ordering. The technician will also have the opportunity to expand their responsibilities to other research-related activities. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably from a STEM field. Previous research and/or animal handling experience are preferred. Please apply here. 
Undergraduate students / research assistants
Undergraduate students may have the opportunity to work with graduate students and postdocs in their projects. If you are interested please inquire about existing opportunities directly to Lucas, along with information about coursework and research experience, and specifics about the amount of time you are able to commit. Note that Northwestern offers undergraduate research grants. Post-bac students may also inquire about the possibility of working in our lab.

High school students

Unfortunately we are unable to host high school students in the lab.
